Original Abstract

This contribution describes a part of a research leading to the development of a low-energy house. The paper focuses on an analysis of airflow images visualized by smoke or fog. Specifically, it focuses on image preprocessing and on the analysis and implementation of special image processing methods. In this article we mostly concentrate on the principles of edge detection. The principles and algorithms given in the paper have been used in an application that was developed at Brno University of Technology and was programmed in the Embarcadero Delphi XE2 environment.
