Original Abstract

This paper presents an investigative survey of quantitative mathematical methods applicable to mod- eling of (human) organizational structures. We discuss approaches based on simulation, mathematical program- ming and fuzzy-modeling. This brief survey differs from the mainstream organizational theory style, which is mostly qualitative. A major diffculty in study of organizational structures is providing their mathematical representation and deffning their evaluation in relation to a certain goal. Addressing these issues lies at the heart of this paper.
