Rychlost je jedním z nejvýznamnějších faktorů při volbě dopravního prostředku. Cestou k rychlejší dopravě je zřízení více vrstev, což je běžné ve velkoměstech; pro menší města je ale např. metro finančně nedostupné. Rychle a často jezdící autobusy jsou na rozdíl od Česka běžné v mnoha zemích světa. Přitom mnoho komunikací v českých městech, jako jsou třeba vnitroměstské okruhy, nabízejí možnost zavedení rychlé, ale přitom levné a tudíž dostupné dopravy. Na komunikacích jsou potřebné jen drobné úpravy, na které je vhodné pamatovat již při výstavbě. Konkrétní vyčíslení dopadů zavedení rychlé autobusové dopravy poskytne série připravovaných modelů.

Speed is one of the most important factors when choosing a vehicle. On the way to faster traffic is establishment of multiple layers, which is common in big cities; for smaller cities such as metro but is unaffordable. Fast and frequent buses are unlike Czech common in many countries. However, many roads in the Czech cities such as inner-city areas need, offering the possibility of introducing a fast, cheap and yet therefore accessible transportation. On roads are needed only minor modifications, which should already remember when construction. Specific quantification of the impact of the introduction of bus rapid transport will provide a series of planned models.
