Original Abstract

The calculation of the design values of load-carrying capacity according to EUROCODE3 is based on characteristic values, and on partial safety factors. This approach can be more or less inaccurate when solving the reliabilities of a larger system. There is shown an example of a structure all the supporting elements of which have the same design load-carrying capacity calculated in compliance with EUROCODES 3, but the differences in reliability calculations occur due to dissimilarities among random effect of partial elements. The results of statistical analysis of the load-carrying capacity of a structure given by the minimum load-carrying capacity of a column under tension are presented on a concrete example with greater number of columns under tension.
