Original Abstract

Mobile communication devices still grow in number and importance. A number of them are Java-enabled cell phones. This paper deals with one of two different configurations that make up the J2ME platform - namely the Connected Limited Device Configuration (CLDC), along with the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP). The process of MIDlet development is also discussed with the Sony Ericsson P800 cell phone as a reference device which testing and debugging is done for.
