Moderní stavební konstrukce jsou navrhovány v kombinaci monolitického a nebo prefabrikovaného betonu, s ocelí, předpjatými kabely a závěsy apod. V návrhu konstrukcí bývá též obsaženo mnoho inovativních prvků ve tvaru nosné konstrukce, použití vysokopevnostního betonu, použití netradičních postupů výstavby apod. U většiny takových konstrukcí dochází v důsledku dotvarování a smršťování betonu k výrazné redistribuci vnitřních sil, růstu deformací apod. Při statickém řešení konstrukce proto bývá nutné přijmout řadu předpokladů o statickém chování jednotlivých prvků i celé konstrukce, které je třeba ověřit měřením v průběhu výstavby konstrukce a vytvořit tak zároveň i podmínky pro dlouhodobé sledování konstrukce po jejím uvedení do provozu. Tato práce se zabývá dlouhodobým sledováním konstrukcí, návrhem jejich sledování, vybavením měřicí technikou, sledovanými veličinami a analýzou skutečného chování. V práci jsou uváděny autorem prováděné příklady dlouhodobého sledování konstrukcí významných mostních a pozemních staveb

Modern building structures are designed in combination of precast and in-situ concrete, with steel, prestressing tendons, stays, etc. Design of structures also involves many innovative elements in the shape of supporting structure, application of high-strength concrete, combination of materials, non-traditional process of assembly, etc. Due to creep and shrinkage of concrete it comes to significant redistribution of internal forces and deformation growth in most of these structures, etc. Therefore, at structural solution of a structure it is necessary to adopt a number of assumptions about static behaviour not only of the individual elements but also of the whole structure, which should be verified by long-term monitoring of the structure. So the submitted thesis deals with long-term monitoring of structures, design of their monitoring, measuring equipment, monitored characteristics and analyses of real structural behaviour of structures, which utilize mostly prestressed or steel concrete or eventually composite constructions as a supporting members. Monitoring and analysis of long-term behaviour of current concrete structures has remarkable significance for new design of structures contributing to sustainable development of engineering constructions. The thesis describes unique problems of monitoring of concrete structures and focuses on knowledge deepening in structural modelling of these structures
