Original Abstract

The vocal folds are the organ producing human voice. The airflow coming from the trachea and passing through the glottis vibrates the vocal folds. The transforamtion is taking place of the subglottal air pressure into the acoustic pressure in the supraglottal area. The periodic supraglottal pressure consists of the harmonic components that enable excitation of formants of individual speech vowels. The paper is dealing with the vocal folds function modelling to provide the above mentioned function. The new principle of the vocal folds function is used in the paper. This principle has been caled the "principle of the compressed air buble" which are shifted through the glottis from the subglottal to the supraglottal area.
