Original Abstract

It is known that small impurities added into pure nitrogen can completely change all post-discharge kinetics. The role of heterogeneous reactions that also contributes to the postdischarge kinetics is nearly unknown up to now. The presented contribution gives the first results about the strong quenching of nitrogen pink afterglow by adsorbed ambient air originated molecules. The experiments were carried out in DC flowing system in Pyrex tube at the pressure of 1000 Pa.
