Original Abstract

This report deals with development of tracer gas method for measuring of ventilation parameters. The necessary equipment for measuring by this method is specified in this report. Above all we aimed our attention at the used gas analyzer, which measurement principle is based on the photoacoustic infra – red detection method, and on its calibration. The accuracy of the calibration, which has to be repeated several times a year, strongly influences the accuracy of measurement results. The methodology how to calibrate the analyser is made and a special calibration equipment, which can be also used for measurement of suction efficiency of local exhaust hoods, is composed too. This report also deals with the choice of the most suitable tracer gas and with the design of the most fitting tail end of the injection system.
