Original Abstract

Management of service lifetime of process equipment is one of the most important tasks for its operators. It secures not only safety of the operations but also the longest possible service lifetime, which is crucial for economic reasons. Various types of equipment are operated and evaluated in various ways depending on their importance and degree of dangerousness. Service lifetime of equipment has to be monitored and properly evaluated so that there is no potential of emergency and unpredictable shut-downs. State-of-the-art methods are more and more used for determining a degree of deformation; numerical methods prevail among these tools. Verification of acquired data is crucial so that credibility.
