Original Abstract

The determination of the components distribution in cross-section of the free jet of hot gas mixture issue from the continue equation respecting the difussion of mass fractions. The calculating process is based on the measured distribution of temperature and axial velocity in the cross-section of the free jet and on the known termodynamic and transport properties. The radial distribution of both quantities (temperature and velocity) were approximated by Gaussian function.The laminar component of diffusion coefficient was completed by the turbulent component. The method was applied for the analysis of the data measured on the free jet flowing from the output of the hybrid water-argon arc heater into the air.
