Original Abstract

This article briefly introduces the possibility of active oscillator (so-called ARC oscillator) electronic tuning by using voltage-controlled amplifiers (VCA). The base of this ARC oscillator is a biquad filter with three operational amplifiers and the VCA610 voltage-controlled amplifiers. One of these amplifiers is connected in a feedback loop to adjust oscillation conditions. The remaining amplifiers are used for tuning of the basic oscillator parameter - oscillation frequency w0. The electronic tuning itself is implemented by a method of impedance modification via the voltage-controlled amplifiers with variable gain. The mentioned scheme is suitable for frequencies below 1MHz, tuning in the range of one decade and for low harmonic distortion (about 0.01%).
