Original Abstract

This section deals with the permanent magnets excited synchronous machine having the slotless stator coil construction. The common knowledge of mechanical structure of these machines and their advantages and disadvantages for TAH (Total Artificial Heart) applications or possibility of the blood pump for long term use as a double ventricular assist device are discussed here. The electrical drive is a combination of the double-sided turbine pump, slotless PM disc synchronous motor and magnetic active bearings. This system is for an artificial organ laboratory use and is tested for the implantation.
