Original Abstract

This paper describes data acquisition device that was designed to collect data from smart sensors of temperature, pressure, .ow, etc. The device contains an Ethernet interface, a web server and a ftp server so all acquired data can be reached over the internet in the form of both actual values and logged data. The device is based on powerful microprocessor and cooperating integrated Ethernet interface. At present time the prototype of device operates as a gateway between smart sensors and an internet. Web server in the device displays web pages generated by the microprocessor and using standard internet browser it is possible to change con.guration parameters of connected sensors, monitor logged values, monitor actual values etc. Due to the capabilities of smart sensors user can not only watch present values. Using standard internet browser one can also set up dumping value, unit, tag, date, etc.
