Original Abstract

This paper deals with the use of the Internet in the Czech companies. Using the Intranet, both managers and employees start to see processes in a broader context. The paper is based on the survey within more than 150 Czech companies. It also summarises some other information resources concerning this topic. Concepts such as Internet supported decision making, virtual education, information society, globalisation are used very often and similarly, lots of information and communication technologies are available that should raise the efficiency of managerial processes. Despite the true revolution in this field one cannot say that the ability to integrate the particular elements into a meaningful and functioning system would be too frequent. In this respect, the business subjects fall very often behind and are not able to be at the top of the ladder and do not provide top solutions. One can see their indiscriminate enthusiasm and optimism and on the other hand there is an unconcern, feel of endangering and reluctance to communicate.
