Original Abstract

Magnetising current sources used in NDT based on the method of leakage fluxes have to guarantee magnetizing of the tested product into magnetic status when leakage fluxes rise above the crack or another macro defect. During the calibration, one of the tasks is to determine the accuracy of the generated current indication and to check on its waveform. The next is to learn the magnetizing source load characteristic course (EN ISO 9934-3, p.8), which best describes properties of the source. The Paper describes the difficulties with the determination of the generated current indication accuracy, with the influence of the magnetizing current waveform and with the current generator load characteristic measurement.
