Original Abstract

In this article the design of an active RC (so-called ARC) oscillator with automatic magnitude stabilization using a voltage-controlled amplifier is briefly described. The base of this ARC oscillator is a biquad filter with three operational amplifiers and a VCA610 voltage-controlled amplifier. The VCA610 amplifier is controlled by an automatic stabilization circuit, which is realized as an inertial amplitude detector. This scheme is suitable for frequencies below 1MHz and for ultra low harmonic distortion (THD below 0.01%).
