Original Abstract

A computational model of the orthotropic strip wound cylinder has been proposed describing the behavior of the real construction more precisely than the commonly used isotropic material model. Relations have been derived for the stress and displacement radial distribution in an analytical form. The influence of the different radial and tangential stiffnesses on the stress state, radial displacement and strip prestress during the winding process have been analyzed on a practical example.
