Eco-design as design for environment makes a part of environmental management that helps to optimize product design and to protect the environment. The position of environmental management in modern production process is similar as quality management; only it is coming some years later as the response on deteriorate life condition in this word. The environmental management has to be implemented in the production process as quality management in the past.
