Original Abstract

Elastic elements are included into railway superstructure to decrease an influence of dynamical effects and simultaneously to reduce vibration and noise. In this paper is studied the contribution of under sleeper pads to improvement of railway track geometry parameters. The main benefits are the saving of ballast material and the lower maintenance costs. A static analysis of railway track with under sleeper pads demonstrates the mechanism of the ballast protection against negative dynamical effects.
