Original Abstract

There are two types of experimental materials used pure nickel and its nanocomposite reinforced by nano-sized SiO2. These materials were produced by TU Clausthal, Germany. The material was deposited on copper substrate by electrodeposition under these conditions: direct current, 25 mA and 30 h. After electroplating, the copper substrate was metallographically ground out to obtain free-standing samples for the creep testing. The creep tests were carried out at temperatures from 293 to 573 K and the applied stress ranged from 125 to 700 MPa. Fracture details were observed by scanning electron microscope PHILIPS XL 30
