Original Abstract

Digital cadastral map (DKM) is an essential part of Real Estate Cadastre. In Czech Republic, obligatory conception of creation digital cadastre documentation including cadastral maps exists since 1993. Digital maps are created in two ways: remake of old graphic sources or less common procedure based upon recent numeric data. Not only creation of new maps but also testing of their accuracy is necessary. Cadastre office of South Moravian region cooperates with Brno University of Technology on accuracy testing of cadastral maps. University research group together with cadastre offices are dealing with the problem of accuracy of digital cadastre maps and are trying to solve it. More than twenty studies analyzing digital cadastre maps have been processed since 1995. Some tests were made in town agglomeration of Brno and some tests were made in rural agglomeration of South Moravian region. This paper summarizes results and experience from accuracy analysis of digital cadastre maps from five cadastral area of city Brno. From rural agglomerations, two cadastral areas were chosen. The paper is overview of results gained from 1997 to 2006. The method of test according to the Ordinance is compared with alternative testing method respecting statistical principles. Both methods were used for accuracy testing of digital cadastral maps in two rural cadastral areas. The paper evaluates the quality of maps and compares two methods of accuracy testing.
