Original Abstract

Today’s tendencies in the telecommunications sector lead to the integration of particular networks and technologies to one robust multiservice network. This solution is very advantageous from many points of view; for example, it makes network and service management much easier, end users can have only one universal terminal, which can use voice services, data transfer, web browsing, etc. The interconnection between any different networks needs a gateway, which should perform protocol conversion. This article points to some potential problems to solve.
