Original Abstract

Method for initial position of rotor estimation for permanent magnet synchronous motor. The method is based on current measurement, which turns by change inductance of each phase winding. A change inductance is proportional to the rotor position and is measured by using injection of high frequency carrier. A saturating inductance effect is used to estimate the polarity of the rotor magnet.
