Original Abstract

The paper discusses an elasto-plastic solution of space steel frames assuming large deformation. The solution is based on the preconditions which are closed to the principle of the complementary energy. The conditions of the solution are as follows: a) each element of the frame is defined as a space frame element; the finite elements method is used for solution; b) each element can meet any rigid rotations, but only moderately large relative rotations; c) using the plastic-hinges method arbitrary number of them can be palced an the element; d) non-linear bending-stretching relationship is introduced on cech element.
