Original Abstract

Innovative aspects influencing aerosol delivery modelling guided by the 3Rs principles of alternatives to animal models are included. Specifically, porcine lungs obtained from the slaughter house process shall be included in the breathing simulation processes. As a result, the simulator allows to approximate realistic breathing simulation even on a higher level providing a better understanding of aerosol inhalation processes.
