Original Abstract

Pharmaceuticals are an integral part of modern medicine, and we can hardly imagine the functioning of our modern society without them. Thanks to medicines, we can eradicate of serious pandemic illnesses, helping people overcome serious psychological or psychiatric problems, prolonging the life of lowering high cholesterol, diabetics, or other comforting benefits such as pain relief, hormonal drugs prevent unwanted conception. Such a boom reached pharmacology, especially in the second half of the 19th century, and more drugs developed over the 20th century only in 1965, scientists noticed that these substances are likely to get further into the environment, with the number of studies showing the incidence pharmacist in surface water.
