Original Abstract

The presented paper describes system with a new type of the blood pump for long term use as a double ventricular assist device. The electrical drive is a combination of the double-sided turbine pump, slotless PM disc synchronous motor and magnetic active bearings. This system is for an artificial organ laboratory use and is tested for the possibility to be used for long-term implantation.
