Original Abstract

The article deals with the comparison of the behavior of differently reinforced specimens of the same dimensions and of the same type of concrete. It is a pilot experiment performed on small specimens of dimensions 400 x 100 x 100 mm and C20/25 strength class, which should determine the trend of further testing on differently degraded specimens. In all cases, concrete specimens are reinforced at the same part of cross section at the tensile side. In one case, it is reinforced by standard reinforcing steel B500B, in two cases by the stainless steel helical reinforcement and in other two cases by the stainless steel helical reinforcement glued into the groove of required dimensions. The aim is to understand the behavior of specimens of these dimensions and then to design a detailed plan for further testing of sets of differently degraded materials.
