Original Abstract

Burholderia cepacia and Bukrholderia sacchari are Gram negative bacteria capable of biofilm formation and polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) accumulations. Their capability of PHA production is extensively utilized for PHA production especially using lignocellulose based substrates. On the contrary, biofilm formation by B. cepacia represent serious problem for immuno-deficient patients which can be infected by this bacteria. The aim of this work was to investigate role of PHA in biofilm of above mentioned bacteria.
