Original Abstract

Concrete structures are loaded during their lifetime. These structures are loading and unloading i.e. loading stressed structure as cyclically loaded. Using acoustic emission method for detection of forming cracks is interests in this article. The principle of detection by the help of the acoustic emission method is recording elastic waves which are formed by active cracks. The loading frequency of tested concrete beams was of 2 Hz. Measurement started with the force of 30 kN of loading and was increasing by of 5 kN steps to the final value of 70 kN during 1 hour. The whole experiment contains 7200 cycles i.e. loading and unloading the concrete structure. The article describes the application of the acoustic emission method on this concrete beam at cyclic loading.
