Original Abstract

This paper deals with the issue of the development of rail corrugations with short waves and slipwaves on train track rails and their impacts on the level of noise and vibrations spreading from passing such tracks. For measurement purposes, appropriate measurement stations were selected on corridor lines and an appropriate measurement methodology was proposed. The presented acoustic and vibration parameters were obtained during the passage of selected train sets in two measurement campaigns. A suitable mathematical method based on the use of time-frequency methods in the frequency domain was selected to evaluate the measurements. Additionally a relatively new time-frequency analysis was also used to analyze the measurement. The conclusion of the paper contains recommendations for further measurements.
