Original Abstract

Thermal protection of buildings as well as the usage of easily renewable resources of raw materials and secondary raw materials belong among the main topics currently being addressed by research organizations practically all over the world. The paper describes research dealing with the possibility of using different kinds of natural fibers for the production of thermal insulation materials. The main aim of the paper is to investigate the dependence of thermal insulation properties on the type and thickness of fibers and the dependence of thermal insulating properties on bulk density.

Keywords

Natural fibers, thermal conductivity, insulation materials, thickness of fibers, density.
