Original Abstract

The infrastructural aspects of wastewater reuse systems include the distribution and treatment elements and assessment of feasibility of decentralised water reuse systems. Currently available decision support tools for water reuse include process synthesis models that do not include the distribution aspects of reuse schemes, and integrative approaches which have no provisions for assembly of treatment trains from individual unit processes. A combined hydraulic/process simulation model for water reuse schemes has been developed that provides an integrated framework for evaluation of treatment and distribution aspects of water reuse systems.
