Original Abstract

This paper deals with the fault detection of the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM) stator winding interturn short circuit. The fault detection method is based on Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA). Key part of paper describes implementation of the spectral analysis fault detection method cooperated with the field oriented control (FOC) algorithm on Cortex-M4 microcontroller. This control system was utilized with low voltage PMSM with the interturn short fault emulation. Experimental results measured on PMSM test bench are important part of this paper.
