V současné době se můžeme velmi často setkávat s pojmem Textilní architektura. Textilní membránové konstrukce patří k rychle se rozvíjejícím typům staveb, jejichž navrhování se však od standardních postupů velmi liší. Jednou ze základních odlišností je nutnost hledání vhodného tvaru (form-finding). Druhou odlišností je nutnost generování střihových vzorů. Problematika střihových vzorů se zabývá procesem vytváření množiny rovinných střihů z původně nerozvinutelné plochy. Tento článek představí možné přístupy k tomuto procesu.

Nowadays we often encounter with the term Textile architecture. Textile membrane structures belong to the rapidly growing segment in the area of civil engineering structures, whose design process however differs very much in comparison with standard structures designing. The first fundamental difference is the necessity of finding an appropriate form (form-finding). The second difference is the requirement to generate cutting patterns. The issue of cutting patterns generation deals with creation of set of planar patterns from originally nondevelopable area. This article presents possible approaches to this process.
