Original Abstract

The paper describes the methodology of choosing the most applicable reconstruction method for a pipe section of a water distribution network including trenchless technologies. At first, the values of criteria are estimated and calculated for each pipe section in the evaluated network. Ranking of them is done using a software package for Annual Rehabilitation Planning (ARP tool of CARE-W project). The pipes, which are recommended for reconstruction by ARP, are compared with the database of acceptable rehab technologies. The multi-criteria optimisation method estimates and recommends the best method or set of methods for each pipe section. The impact of this recommended method on the values of criteria used in the ARP tool is calculated as the last step.
