Original Abstract

Palladium releases into the environment from automotive catalysts due to the high temperature flue gas, mechanical abrasion, riding style in and under influence of catalyst poisons in elemental form or in the form of surface-oxidized particles. Detectable amounts of palladium were found in all objects of the environment. Was applied form of active biomonitoring called dry "bag" monitoring technique, using lichen (Hypogymnia physodes) as bioindicator.
