Original Abstract

Nowadays the new trend in smart cities concept is to open all available data to wide range of users, consumers, society and authorities. The paper focus on energy reduction in the housing sector based on Directive 2010/31/EU and implementing ICT technologies in this area. This paper describes interpretation of long term energy monitoring data in the existing housing estate, within the pilot project in the city district of Nový Lískovec in Brno. The data sets represent selected concrete block of flats in studied area before and after retrofitting. The goal is to show an integrated toolkit with energy consumption and greenhouse gases reduction and other necessary information into an interactive user-friendly (ICT) web map application. The developed ICT web map application e-Sustainability would raise awareness among the inhabitants in studied area on environmental and energy issues and the role of ICTs in this field. The application is based on interactive map portal that uses GIS technology. This portal is not only for local energy management but also, regional intention. Users can continuously monitor information about energy consumption in prefabricated apartment buildings as well as values of temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide in the interior. The data provide visual information in an interactive map of the energy savings achieved through measures taken under the comprehensive regeneration of prefabricated houses. The real-time monitoring of the environment is also discussed in the paper.
