Original Abstract

Preserving and restoring historically valuable motion picture and sound track information is an important task. In the past this had to be done manually in complicated and expensive procedures. Just in the last few years attempts of digitally capturing and restoring film media were made. This paper deals with the restoration of global faults using digital image processing.
