Original Abstract

We used previously proposed phase-correlation algorithm [Novak et al., 2014]. The automated algorithm was modified to trace all three component of light spectrum, especially blue colour having periodicity of 180° under the specific orientation of PLM equipment. Results confirm capability of the proposed algorithm to correctly estimate the local orientations of birefringent structures in whole 180° range without necessity of incorporation of quarter wave plate.
