Original Abstract

The article is focused on the study of water vapor diffusion through vapor retarder at its varying percentages of damage. Two different kinds of foils are used as vapor retarder. The initial boundary conditions are based on the accurate measurement of indoor air quality on a set of residential units for the experiment in the climate chamber. This experiment points to the actual value of the diffusion values of building materials contrary to the values obtained from the tests according to ČSN EN ISO 12572. In these tests the building material is exposed to various boundary conditions and its parameters are monitored. The final value is the result of approximation of different values, which may not correspond in the real installation to the boundary conditions in a building
