Original Abstract

Web Services are distributed components that can communicate over a network using standard Internet protocols. Nowadays the most expanded communication with web services is based on the HTTP protocol. The protocol itself does not allow a stateful communication with a web service, i.e. a web service does not keep its state between individual client requests. Since a stateless web service communication can be a limiting factor when using the web service technology, techniques that realize at least a partial stateful communication have been developed. In this article methods of stateful web service communication using ASP.NET are described. The end of the text deals with our own design of stateful communication using the WSE library.
