Original Abstract

This paper deals with measuring EMI supply filters. There is explained the measuring configuration which is now design for the measuring of insertion loss of EMI filters. The main problem in this type of measuring is that the filter is normally designed for the constant input and output impedances which is usually 50 ohms. But the main question is what does it happen if we connect this filter into the low-voltage power supply network. So I designed the simple circuits which try to simulate the impedance of the low-voltage power supply network. And these circuits were used in measuring of the EMI supply filter. Now these circuits are designed only for measuring the asymmetric insertion loss and the life cycle of the output impedance is design in harmony with output impedance of the circuits which is very often called LISN (Line Impedance Stabilising Network). This circuit we can find in the measuring devices which are able to measure the interference that is circulated in network’s wires. Anyway, several measuring were done by using the simply circuits and measured data was compared with measured data which was got by measuring in the system with the ending impedances.
