Tento článek pojednává o analýze teoretické hloubky promrznutí zeminy podle různých autorů a EN ISO 13793. Dosavadní přístupy pro stanovení hloubky založení se opírají o empiricky stanovené hraniční hladiny pod povrchem. Raketový rozvoj moderních stavebních materiálů a technologických postupů se odráží i v pojetí zakládání stavby. Existuje zřejmá snaha minimalizovat objem zemních prací a maximálně využít potenciál použitých moderních materiálů. Chceme-li navrhovat subtilnější konstrukce bez omezení stupně bezpečnosti, musíme znát přesnější vstupní informace ohledně zátěžových stavů, kterým musí konstrukce odolat. V kontextu tohoto článku jde o hloubku promrznutí.

This paper deals with the analysis of the theoretical depth of freezing soils by different authors and EN ISO 1379. Existing approaches is based on empirically determined borderline levels below the surface. Modern buildings materials and technological processes are also reflected in the concept of the building foundations. It is the attempt to minimize the volume of earthworks and earth moving and maximize the potential of the modern materials. If we want to design subtle structures and not limit level of security, we must know the precise input information about the stress conditions. In the context of this article it is the depth of freezing.
