Original Abstract

The paper deals with the detection and evaluation of bearing steel deformation resistance depending on the temperature and properties of formed material. Production technology of rolling bearing rings by partial heating consists in the use of strength and yield limit changes of the used material in dependence of increasing temperature. This technology evaluates the possibility of semi-heating during rolling of bearing rings. During semi-heating the deformational resistance decreases by up to the half compared to cold forming. The research of different process conditions is made to find out an optimal result. The development task is to ensure the heating stage of billets; find out bearing steel formability and deformational resistances at different temperatures and forming conditions. Selection of rolling conditions i.e. rolling force, speed of deformation, deformation degree in relation to the selected temperature plays a key role in the forming process.
