Original Abstract

Many masts carry a variety of tubes, ladders and other supply channels up their centre, and these, besides increasing the drag and cross-wind forces, may also increase the yawing moment on the mast. The article shows the difference of value of drag and cross-wind forces acting on mast due to a different arrangement of supply components. For obtaining shape factors for the required yaw angles were used CFD program ANSYS/Flotran.
