Original Abstract

In this contribution, systematic error of measurement of the fractal dimension with the well-known box-counting method is presented and a method based on the box-counting method that does not suffer with this drawback is proposed. Fractal dimensions of well-known fractals are measured by means of this new method and the results are compared to those measured with the standard box-counting method.
