Original Abstract

This paper presents automated non-contact shifts detection method. Special emphasis is focused on the high accuracy of the detection and the low financial cost of the equipment. Proposed method is based on processing a set of images of special target, which are taken with a digital microscope. User applications MicroCapture and MicroShift serve for the purposes of sequential image acquisition and batch evaluation of shifts from series of images. The method is designed primarily for shift detection of the float for monitoring volume changes of a hydrating mixture on the slab form with flexible constraints. Applicability of this method for monitoring volume changes is verified by the test measurements results.
