Original Abstract

Three PE100 class HD polyethylenes B1, C1 and C2 (all black pigmented) and one PP-impact copolymer E1 (blue pigmented) were tested from the viewpoint of resistance to chlorine in aqueous solution. Materials were provided by Roechling in the form of 2 mm extruded sheets. As chlorine sources, aqueous solutions of sodium hypochlorite (SAVO) and trichloroisocyanuric acid (TICA), both at temperatures 23 and 50C were applied.
